David Cameron visited Ukraine on Thursday and told reporters that the weapons transferred by the British could be used to strike Russian territory.
As Reuters writes, the diplomat said that “Ukraine has this right, and this is understandable: when Russia attacks Ukrainian territory, there is a need to defend itself.”
Cameron also promised £3 billion in annual military funding for Ukraine for as long as it is needed. According to him, “in terms of providing weapons, we have emptied all warehouses, and some of this equipment should arrive in Ukraine literally today, while I’m here.”
For the former British Prime Minister, this is the second visit to Kyiv in the status of Foreign Minister. In the capital, he met with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba and President Vladimir Zelensky.
- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia stated that some states give Ukraine weapons without restrictions on their use on the territory of the Russian Federation.
- At the end of April, a British royal figure, his wife, also came to Ukraine brother of King Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie.
