The unit defending Avdiivka had two months to rest after being in positions continuously for two years.
The 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Coronary General Mark Bezruchko, after two months on rotation, returned to combat positions. The unit, known for its participation in the defense of Avdievka, announced this at on its Facebook page.
Ukrainskaya Pravda, citing its own sources in the brigade, claims that there was little time for rest: the unit did not have time to fully recover, recruit people and undergo combat coordination. Its return to the front line is connected. with “an aggravation in one of the directions of the front.”
- The 110th brigade announced its departure for rotation on February 27. This was the first opportunity for the soldiers to rest in two years of continuous defense of Avdeevka.
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine left Avdiivka on the night of February 17. The decision was made in order to preserve personnel and prevent a cordon.
