The investigation found that the director of the contractor company entered deliberately inflated amounts of costs into the work completion certificates. In the same proceedings, suspicion of embezzlement of funds was previously reported to the director of the Kiev Fortress museum.
It was established that in the period 2020-2021, the director of a private company entered into agreements with NIAM “Kiev Fortress” to carry out emergency work on Tower No. 4 of the museum. which is a monument of urban planning and architecture of national importance.

One of the elements of the restoration was the replacement of the roofing material of the specified tower with a total cost of covering sheets in the amount of 1.4 million hryvnia.
The suspect contributed certificates of completed work deliberately inflated the amount of expenses for the specified covering sheets, disguising this under the guise of a seemingly ready-made roofing material, although in fact the sheets were assembled into a single structure at the construction site, for which money was allocated separately.
During the investigation, chemical, construction-technical, commodity and economic examinations were carried out, which established that the cost of the specified coating sheets was overstated in the amount of almost 900 thousand hryvnia.
