Representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko said during the telethon that border guards record attempts to illegally cross the border every day, Ukrinform reports.
“Attempts to illegally cross the border continue every day. Every day our border guards detain violators: both along the green section of the border, and at checkpoints where you can legally cross the border. But most cases are still recorded along the green section of the border,” Demchenko said.
According to him, violators resort to violence. various means when trying to cross the border. One of the latest cases is the use of an aqua scooter along the river. Demchenko noted that this attempt was unsuccessful, the offender was detained.
Recall that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, more than 20 thousand Ukrainian men have illegally fled to Moldova alone. More than half of them received temporary protected status.
