Supply restriction schedules will not apply to consumers who use at least 80% of their own energy

For consumers who use at least 80% of their electricity, shutdown schedules will apply. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on August 6.

Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal believes that in this way the state stimulates the energy autonomy of businesses. He added that a package of programs to accelerate the decentralization of energy generation is also in effect.

“These are loans to businesses and citizens for the creation of alternative energy, duty-free import of energy equipment, and simplification of bureaucratic procedures for launching generating units,” he said.< /p>

Earlier, the government allowed not to apply shutdown schedules for those who import at least 80% of their electricity.

  • Since the end of winter, Russia has been targeting the Ukrainian energy sector, as a result of which power supply restriction schedules have been reinstated throughout the country. The situation improved at the end of July, when nuclear power plant units returned from repairs. But it is too early to predict what kind of winter will be like for Ukrainians.
