As of 22:00 on August 20, 153 combat clashes had occurred. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to repel attacks by the occupation forces. Today, the terrorist state launched six missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine using ten missiles, 73 air strikes, and dropped 95 KABs. In addition, the invaders used 595 kamikaze drones for strikes and carried out more than 3,300 shellings of our troops and populated areas using various types of weapons.
On KharkivIn the direction, Russian terrorists stormed the positions of our units in the areas of Volchansk and Liptsy nine times. Fighting is still ongoing in two locations.

Today, Ukrainian defenders in the Kharkov direction eliminated and wounded more than a hundred occupiers, destroyed an artillery system, 36 UAVs, two units of automobile and five units of special equipment, three artillery systems, 11 cars and a unit of special equipment of the occupiers were also damaged.
The enemy attacked our positions on Kupyansk 12 timesdirection. Near the settlements of Petrovpavlovka, Berestovo, Stelmakhovka, Sinkovka and Stepnaya Novoselovka, units of the Defense Forces repelled ten offensive actions. The situation is tense, two combat contacts are ongoing.
In the Limansky direction, during the day, Russian troops, with the support of aviation, attacked Ukrainian defenders 18 times in the areas of Makeyevka, Novosadove, Grekovka and Dibrova. The enemy has been stopped.
The enemy attempted to force our defenders out of their positions in the Vyemka and Pereyezdnoye areas in the Seversky direction five times with assault actions. All attacks were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped six attempts by the invaders to advance near Chasovy Yar, Kleshchyivka and Ivanovskoye. One combat clash continues. The situation is under control.
In Toretskydirection, where the occupiers, with air support, attacked our positions 23 times near New York, Nelipovka, Toretskaya and Zheleznoye. 22 combat clashes have already been completed. The battle continues near Nelipovka.
The enemy is directing its main efforts to Pokrovskydirection here, during the day, the aggressor attacked 62 times in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Mikhailovka, Kalinovka, Novogrodovka, Grodovka, Nikolaevka, Ptichye, Nudnoye and Zeleny Pole. The Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 49 attacks, another 13 clashes are ongoing. According to preliminary estimates, today the occupiers lost more than 280 servicemen killed and wounded and four vehicles were destroyed. The Ukrainian defenders also damaged four enemy artillery systems.
In the Kurakhovske direction, at this time of day, our defenders repelled nine enemy attempts to attack our positions. The invaders tried to advance near Konstantinovka, Krasnogorovka and Karlovka. The situation is under control.
In the Vremevsky direction today, the aggressor twice tried to storm the forward line of defense in the direction of Vodyane. Ukrainian soldiers stopped the enemy attack, the battle continues.
In the Orikhov direction, enemy units twice unsuccessfully tried to advance in the direction of Novodanilovka and near Malaya Tokmachka.
In the Prydniprovsk direction, five enemy assaults were unsuccessful. No positions were lost.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Kursk direction.
Today, soldiers of the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after General-Khorunzhy Mark Bezruchko should be noted for their effective combat work.
