Two companies that resorted to competition fraud received a multi-million dollar fine.
The temporary administrative board of the administration on the decision of Ukraine against the Antimonopoly company for collusion, which allowed them to win tenders for electrical work in the Odessa region.
As the press service of the department writes, the companies “ENERGOMIR” and “UKRENERGOMONTAZH” agreed on their actions on the absence of competition and thus thus gained an advantage during the bidding process.
They managed to win the right to carry out major repairs to the networks in the Yuzhny port, replace equipment at the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, and perform a number of works for the City Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital. The total expected cost of all these purchases was more than 81 million hryvnia.
For collusion, the companies were fined about 10.2 million hryvnia. Also, for the next three years, according to the law, they will no longer be able to participate in tenders.
- The head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Pavlo Kyrylenko, is accused of embezzling 56 million hryvnia.
