“This is about increasing pressure on the aggressor, which will be more than Russia can withstand.”
Volodymyr Zelensky
Zelensky said that the next week will be devoted to Ukraine obtaining opportunities to achieve peace by force.
He said this in an evening video address.
“This is about increasing pressure on the aggressor, which will be stronger for Russia than they can withstand. And this is about preventing a bigger war. Real peace can only be achieved through force, and the entire next week will be devoted to working with our partners – for the sake of such force, for the sake of real peace,” the president said.
According to him, in such conditions our relations with partners need to develop.
“The front needs more support. When we talk about greater range for Ukraine and a more decisive delivery of our forces, this is not just a list of military assets… The teams will work. There will be work with the leaders too. We very much hope that decision-making will not be slow. Our Ukrainian soldiers, our entire people have proven that Ukraine is capable of achieving even what seemed impossible to some,” Zelensky noted.
According to him, Ukraine has repeatedly changed the course of the war for the better. “Ukrainians know how to fight and know how to knock out a future for their state, their people, all of us. This must be done now. I am proud of our people. And our people deserve sufficient assistance and a fair peace,” the president added.
