Among other things, schools must be equipped with technical security equipment, in particular emergency police call systems.
Illustration, November 21, the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill 11543 on security in general secondary education institutions in the first reading.
The bill was supported by 235 elected representatives, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported.
It is proposed to make the following changes:
The founder of a general secondary education institution is obliged to ensure safety, compliance with labor protection and fire safety requirements (currently, there are only requirements for labor protection, life safety and fire safety).
Head of a general secondary education institutionis obliged to promote preventive activities among education seekers in order to prevent them from committing offenses.
In order to create a safe educational environment, the heads of general secondary education institutions are obliged to:
- take measures to prevent and/or prevent or stop harm to participants in the educational process;
- determine the rules for the presence of persons on the territory and in the premises of the educational institution;
- ensure the fencing of the territory of the institution; >equip the institution with technical security means, including emergency police call systems.
Additionally, it is envisaged:
- defining compliance with the rules for the presence of persons on the territory and in the premises of the educational institution as mandatory;
- establishing a list of prohibitions on staying on the territory and in the premises of the educational institution;
- restrictions on persons who may be involved in the security of educational institutions.
