The operation was carried out by units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and other components of the Defense Forces. This was reported by the General Staff.
“The Defense Forces attacked a number of important occupier facilities, including in the Bryansk, Kaluga and Kursk regions of Russia. There is confirmation of the successful destruction of an oil depot in the Kaluga region,” the report says.
The results of combat operations against other facilities are being clarified.
A massive ATCAMS attack was reported in the Kursk region today, volunteer Sergei Sternenko wrote on Telegram. ASTRA writes that a military airfield was damaged there, two Russian soldiers were wounded.
Strikes on Russia
Last week, the United States finally allowed the Defense Forces to launch long-range strikes against Russian military facilities. According to RBC-Ukraine and Yuri Butusov, on the night of November 19, Ukraine struck Russian territory for the first time with ATCAMS missiles – at a facility in the Bryansk region.
Before this permission, Ukraine could only strike Russian territory with weapons of its own production – mainly drones. Its own capabilities were insufficient, so the Ukrainians had been calling on their partners for months to agree on the use of their weapons.
