The President called on partners to think not about mobilization, but about weapons.
In an interview with the British TV channel Sky News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his opinion on the call of Western partners to lower the mobilization age in order to attract more people to the army.
According to the head of state, a year ago he very much asked Europe and the United States to equip 10 Ukrainian brigades. To date, this process has only been fully completed “in two and a half”.
The obstacle, according to Zelensky, was “bureaucracy and the fact that some do not consider these decisions a priority.”
The president asked his partners whether they wanted “someone to go to their death without weapons.” “If they have ideas about the age of mobilization, then I want to ask them to do their job, and we will do ours,” Zelensky emphasized.
- In an interview with Sky, the President also spoke about his attitude to the scenario of Ukraine receiving a “NATO umbrella” for the territories under its control when the war is frozen.
