Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that fortifications in Kharkiv region are 99.9% complete.
He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“The state of work is 99.9%. Almost 800 strongholds have been built and equipped,” the head of government noted.
In total, an additional UAH 6 billion was allocated for the construction of fortifications in the Kharkiv region.
“The Ministry of Defense has been instructed to ensure that all fortifications are equipped with drainage systems for normal water drainage. The necessary changes to the documentation have been made, the work has been completed,” Shmigal wrote.
According to him, one of the programs that requires additional attention is demining, because the Kharkiv region is one of the most mine-contaminated regions. Currently, about 320 sappers from various government organizations are working on demining here, using 24 mechanical demining machines.
In addition, there are about 400 sappers from non-governmental and international organizations in the region.
We also call on farmers in the Kharkiv region to take advantage of the humanitarian demining market, thanks to which they can receive 100% compensation for demining their plots,” the head of government emphasized.
