US President-elect Donald Trump admits that after his return to power, the volume of aid to Ukraine will decrease.
He said this in an interview with NBC News. According to him, he is actively trying to end the war, “if I can.” He also added that Ukraine can expect not to receive as much military aid from the United States when he (Trump – ed.) returns.
The politician also noted that he did not commit to keeping the United States in NATO, the European military alliance that has been a bulwark against Russia since World War II.
According to him, everything will depend on whether “they pay their bills.”
The publication notes that after the interview, Trump flew to Paris for a ceremony to mark the opening of Notre Dame Cathedral, which was restored after a fire. In France, he met with French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said that at the meeting they talked about achieving a “just peace” in the Russian war against Ukraine.
