Media: EU to reaffirm 'nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine' principle at December summit Radio Liberty, after reviewing the draft resolution of the EU summit scheduled for December 19, claims that the bloc's states will express support for Ukraine and Moldova, condemning the actions of the Georgian authorities.</p>
<p>EU leaders are going to reaffirm their commitment to the principle that no initiative regarding Ukraine can be discussed or implemented without the knowledge of our country.</p>
<p>The European Union also plans to celebrate Moldova's successful holding of the presidential elections and referendum on introducing provisions on European integration into the constitution. The EU will continue to cooperate with Chisinau on negotiations on accession.</p>
<p>But Georgia is condemned in the resolution for the harsh suppression of protests by the authorities after the parliamentary elections, which were won by the anti-Western “Georgian Dream”. The European Council demands an investigation into the cases of violence against protesters and at the same time “emphasizes its readiness to support the European integration aspirations of the Georgian people”.</p>
