Military personnel returned their son to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
As part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative of the President of Ukraine, another child was returned from the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.
This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.
The son of a Ukrainian servicewoman, who had remained in occupation for the past three years, was returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
“Before the full-scale invasion, he lived with his mother and grandmother in Svatove in the Luhansk region, but after his mother left to defend the country and the city came under fire and occupation, the boy was left alone with his grandmother. Two weeks ago, the grandmother died, and the child was left alone under the threat of deportation to Russia and ending up in a boarding school,” Yermak writes.
- Earlier, Communications Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Daria Zarovna reported that six more children were returned to Ukraine with TOT as part of the presidential initiative Bring Kids Back UA.
- After the abduction of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories, the Russian Federation is trying to deprive them of their Ukrainian identity. There are about fifty special programs in Russia to destroy the self-identification of children and youth of Ukraine.
