Vasyl Artimovych is suspected of demanding a million dollar bribe.
The High Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a preventive measure for the chairman of the court in a million dollar bribe from a representative of a private company.
This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
“On December 13, 2024, the investigator judge of the HACC partially granted the petition of the NABU detectives, agreed upon by the SAP prosecutor, and applied a preventive measure to the said judge in the form of detention with the alternative of posting UAH 20 million in bail. The period of validity of the preventive measure is until February 10, 2025 inclusive. The court ruled to take the suspect into custody in the courtroom,” the SAP said in a statement.
As part of the pre-trial investigation carried out by NABU detectives, law enforcement officers established that these individuals promised to ensure the adoption of the necessary decisions on court cases that were being processed by one of the appellate economic courts for these funds. NABU and SAP documented the transfer of part of the illegal benefit in the amount of $ 75 thousand.
