The Russian authorities are trying not only to change the political landscape of Ukraine, but also to carry out the cultural assimilation of the people.
The Center for National Resistance reports on this.
The CNR notes that so far such propaganda cells have been established in occupied Donetsk, Khartsyzsk, Novoazovsk and Mangush, although local collaborators were instructed to organize such cells in every library in the occupied region.
These centers create the impression of “normalization” of life in the occupied regions, while simultaneously trying to change the consciousness of local residents, imposing a “Russian” identity on them. As part of such activities, Russian language courses, propaganda lectures and “cultural” events are organized, which are supposed to force the local population to renounce their roots and accept a foreign, imperial identity.
Thus, the Russian authorities are trying not only to change the political landscape, but also to carry out cultural assimilation aimed at destroying the national identity of Ukrainians. This is especially true for the younger generation.
