The activities of the Opposition Platform – For Life party will also be considered.
Yuriy Boyko
First Deputy Prosecutor General Oleksiy Khomenko and Head of the SBU Vasyl Malyuk have been summoned to the Verkhovna Rada for tomorrow, December 18, over the activities of MP Yuriy Boyko. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“The Council summons the First Deputy Prosecutor General Mr. Khomenko and the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Mr. Malyuk to report on the activities of pro-Russian parties and, in particular, an assessment of the statements of MP Boyko at 10:00 tomorrow,” wrote Zheleznyak
He noted that there were 201 votes “for” this decision, with 150 required.
We note that today the conciliation council did not support the consideration of bills that “expel the Opposition Platform – For Life from the Rada,” MP Goncharenko reported.
- Recently, the ex-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, banned in 2022, Yuriy Boyko, posted a statement on the TikTok social network in which he spoke about supporting people who allegedly suffer from some kind of “radicals” in Ukraine and, apparently, a ban on speaking their native language.
- Subsequently, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, responded to this video. He stated that Russian narratives are inadmissible during the war.
- Later, a draft resolution was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada to recall Yuriy Boyko from the post of member of the Human Rights Committee.
- Today, Boyko came for questioning to the SBU.
