The Ministry of Defense has completed the first stage of the creation of social support services for military personnel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

According to him, these units are better known as “patronage services” and will work to support the military and their families in need legal, psychological, medical and other assistance.
“The support system was introduced on October 1, 2024, on my initiative and the initiative of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky. Today, it has already been introduced at the strategic, operational and tactical levels in brigades, regiments, flotillas and separate battalions,” the minister added.
Umerov noted that “patronage services” will also be in military units, hospitals and TCCs.
“In addition, we are working on training specialists for this service. The first training course was held in September, which will be updated and expanded based on the experience gained,” the head of the Ministry of Defense added.
