Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov recognized a new threat for his country. Mova about the Dark Typhon complex, which has a firing range of as much as 2400 kilometers.

What happened
This year the Russian Ministry of Defense held briefing for military attachés accredited in Moscow. The new head “speaker” is the former Chief of the General Staff of the Legislative Assembly of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov.
At the hour of his speech, he traditionally appealed with propaganda theses, in which the Kremlin is justifying aggression against Ukraine.
At this very speech, Gerasimov declared a threat to the Russian Federation from the inevitable approach to the Dark Typhon missile system. However, the Russians themselves received this information ambiguously.
What we know about “Dark Typhon”
This was respected in Defense Express, when they immediately spoke to the General Staff about the goal of “increasing the activity of NATO countries and borders of Russia.” Like the butt of the ground-based missile system “Dark Typhon” has been a rage even in Denmark. This complex has a firing range of as much as 2,400 kilometers.
There is another nuance for the one who, longing for the sunset, does not have such a missile system. That is why the OTRK is clearly a significant problem.
Defense Express itself admitted that the Russians used the term “Dark Typhon” to refer to elements of the names of two other missile systems – the hypersonic Dark Eagle and Typhon.
Dark Eagle is a ground-based hypersonic complex for the US Army, the missile for the complex costs 41 million dollars, and the first successful test launch took place in 2024. It is stated that the air speed is Mach 4.9, and the firing range is 3100 kilometers. In this case, the mass of the warhead is not visible, and the battery consists of four launchers in a total salvo of all missiles.
Typhon is a medium-range complex based on the Mark 41 UVP, in which two types of missiles can be combined – the Tomahawk missile for the ground version and the SM-6 missile for firing in the “surface-to-surface” mode at a range of up to 460 kilometers.
The country also respected the fact that none of these complexes were moved to Denmark or to other parts of Europe. The very “interpretation of this” described by Gerasimov has been received ambiguously by Russian propaganda.
