The enemy is trying to advance as far as possible to the outskirts of Pokrovsk and break through the left and right flanks of the Defense Forces.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, in the last 24 hours alone, our defenders have stopped 60 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor. The enemy has a significant advantage in manpower in this direction. Three Russian combined arms armies are concentrated against us – the 2nd, 41st and 51st Central Military Districts of the enemy. The fighting here is very tough, because the Russian occupiers are throwing all available forces forward, trying to break through the defense of our troops,” says Tregubov.
At the same time, the enemy army is avoiding a frontal assault on the city and is trying to break through the defense from the flanks, suffering losses.
“Ukrainian soldiers are showing extreme resilience and inflicting significant losses on the enemy. In the past 24 hours alone, our defenders have destroyed 261 occupiers, 133 of them irreparably. A communications vehicle has also been destroyed. The invaders are not giving up their attempts to break through to the city of Pokrovsk, but there are no battles or hostile sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the city and its environs yet. The enemy is simply trying to advance as far as possible to the outskirts of Pokrovsk and break through the left and right flanks of the defense forces in order to encircle the city itself. Fighting in the city itself is a very unpleasant thing, so the enemy is trying to force fighting in the outskirts in order to force the Ukrainian forces to retreat and avoid a frontal assault for themselves,” Tregubov explained.
- According to the General Staff, the situation in the Pokrovsk direction is difficult. Over the course of 24 hours, the Defense Forces stopped 60 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Mirolyubovka, Luch, Lisovka, Novy Trud, Dachensky, Shevchenko, Volkovoye and Novovasilovka.
