A civilian man was killed during the massive shelling of the Sumy region border area by Russians.
This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, resulting in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the report says.
Today, December 26, during the day, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the occupiers from the territory of the Russian Federation fired at the border communities of Sumy region with various types of weapons.
“Due to the shelling of the village of Ugroidy in the Krasnopolskaya community at about 17:00, a fire broke out in a private house in which a 59-year-old man was located. The house was destroyed, its owner died,” the prosecutor's office noted.
