The flight from Baku to Grozny was fired upon by an anti-aircraft missile system.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrei Kovalenko, stated on his Telegram page that the Azerbaijani plane that crashed in Kazakhstan was fired upon by a Russian air defense system.
According to the official, the Embraer 190 aircraft was “fired” by an anti-aircraft missile system of the aggressor country. The Russians were supposed to close the airspace over Grozny, where drones were flying at the time, but they didn't.
When the civilian plane was damaged, instead of making an emergency landing in the Chechen capital and saving the lives of the crew and passengers, the occupiers decided to divert the flight to Kazakhstan.
