The pilot project to train female bus drivers has been expanded to 11 regions and Kyiv.
As stated on the Government portal, the selection will continue in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv regions and in the city of Kyiv.
The opportunity to apply for participation in the project will be available until January 17.
The Ministry of Community and Territory Development said that the key goal of the project is to create new jobs for women in the field of passenger transportation, overcome stereotypes in transport professions and integrate women into gender-unbalanced professions.
It is noted that currently in Ukraine the number of women involved in passenger transportation is less than 1%. , striving to master the profession of a bus driver;
To date, 10 partner companies, including municipal enterprises of the involved regions and large transport companies, are ready to employ project graduates and provide them with all the necessary conditions for successful integration into the professional sphere.
The project is for women aged 21 to 65 years who:
- live in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv regions or in the city of Kyiv;
- have a driver's license of one of the categories, in particular B, C, CE or D1, and practical driving experience of at least 3 years;
- are ready to study both online and offline;
- are willing to retrain and be sure to get a job as a bus driver after completing their studies.
Employment after completing training is a prerequisite for participation in the project.
