Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation: Russia is demonstrating an unwillingness to end the war, the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Kovalenko

Russia is increasingly demonstrating an unwillingness to end the war, as evidenced by the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrey Kovalenko, Interfax-Ukraine reports.< /p>

“I can add that the Russian Federation is increasingly demonstrating an unwillingness to end the war even in theory. And now we must acknowledge the reality that the Russian Federation must be broken by “clipping the wings” of its allies, as well as by intensively destroying their military logistics,” Kovalenko noted.

According to him, when the Russian economy and military-industrial complex collapse, “it will no longer matter what Putin wants.”

Kovalenko believes that Lavrov's statements that Russia is not satisfied with the proposals of US President-elect Donald Trump's team to postpone Ukraine's membership in NATO for 20 years and introduce a contingent of EU and UK peacekeepers are “a traditional Russian tactic – to multiply fools in order to gain time.”

The day before, Russian propaganda media quoted Lavrov as saying that Russia is not satisfied with the proposals made by Trump's team – to postpone Ukraine's membership in NATO for 20 years and introduce a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine. At the same time, Lavrov admitted that Moscow “has not yet received official signals from the US regarding the war in Ukraine.”

During 2014-2022, Ukraine held about 200 rounds of negotiations with Russia. During this period, 20 ceasefire agreements were reached, all of which were quickly violated by Russia.

In the first weeks after the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Ukrainian and Russian delegations met for talks in Belarus and Turkey. The talks did not end with success, and the Russians did not stop committing war crimes during the victory process. Ukraine rejected the possibility of talks with Putin and said that negotiations to end the war could only be according to the Ukrainian peace formula.
