A 26-year-old volunteer from Scotland died in the battles against the Russian invaders Jordan McLachlan. He served in the Ukrainian army since 2022.

McLachlan is originally from Ardnamurchan, Scotland. Following the words of his relatives, the fighter died on Friday, the 5th of today, during the hour of service on the front line.
In his statement, his relatives said that Jordan had always believed in those who were more important than those who helped others.
BBC writes that at the beginning of a full-scale war, a few Scots joined the Ukrainian army. One of them is a mechanic from Buggara, Adam Enis, who abandoned his garage business in order to join the international legion.
Jonathan Shenkin from Glasgow also died in Ukraine in 2022.
