Military photographer and cameraman, soldier of the 92nd brigade Ruslan Ganushchak died at the front

He became one of the documentarians of the war in Donbass, recording the crimes of the Russian military in Shyrokyne, Granitne, Berdyansk, Lebedynske and Maryinka.

<p>Military photographer and cameraman, serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Ganushchak died at the front.</p>
<p>This was reported by the press secretary of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional TCC and SP Natalia Kotskovich, as well as “Detector Media”.</p>
<p>“My friend died. Ruslan Ganushchak is a legendary man, and I want everyone to know about his work for victory,” Kotskovich wrote on Facebook.</p>
<p>Ruslan, known by the call sign “Ostap”. He began his career as a military cameraman in 2014, being a fighter of the Azov battalion. He became one of the documentarians of the war in Donbas, recording the crimes of the Russian military in Shyrokyne, Granitnoye, Berdyansk, Lebedynske and Maryinka.</p>
<p>His work, including the film about Georgian volunteers “Brother for Brother”, has been presented in the USA, Great Britain and other countries. </p>
<p>In 2016, Ruslan made a documentary about the war in Donbass, “Two Days in Ilovaisk,” about how the Ilovaisk cauldron began.</p>

In 2022, already as a serviceman of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he continued his mission and showed the world the truth about the war through photos and videos. A year ago, an exhibition of his photographs was held in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Ruslan would have turned 55 on April 14.

According to the Institute of Mass Information, Ruslan became the 96th media person to die as a result of Russia's war against Ukraine.
