Syria has blocked the import of goods from Iran, Israel and Russia, – ZMI

Goods from Iran, Israel and Russia can no longer be consumed until Syria. Syrian ports have announced a strict import ban.

RBC-Ukraine reports this in a post on Alarabiya.

As we have seen, after the fall of the regime of the Syrian dictator to the Assad regime, Syria has witnessed a varied influx of imported goods into local markets.

Zokrem, now near the capital Damascus, shops are filled with various goods, starting with Turkish bottled water Saudi food products – to chocolate chips such as Twix and Snickers, as well as Pepsi drinks and other international brands.

In order to support the economy, the new order voted on the introduction of the dollar in the country and confirmed a new set of single taxes, which will be reduced by 50-60%.

It was also explained that the decision is aimed at easing imports to support local producers within the framework of efforts to promote economic activity and stimulation of industry.

It seems that close to this, the highest representative of the EU regarding foreign affairs and security policy, Kaya Kallas, announced that, in principle, the head of the EU Ministry of Health would hold a meeting in Brussels. There they will discuss the possibility of lifting sanctions from Syria.
