The military unit has now completed its staffing and has begun basic general military training under the updated program.
The General Staff's integrated group is conducting an inspection of the 156th separate mechanized brigade. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The group is headed by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Oleh Apostol. She will check how the brigade is being formed and will provide all possible assistance on issues of organization and preparation for combat operations.
At present, the military unit has completed the staffing and has begun basic general military training under the updated program. At the same time, the selection of personnel for professional training and the supply of weapons and military equipment in accordance with the plan continues. >
Among them:
- replacement of part of the brigade's leadership and appointment of a commander with combat and practical experience of service in command positions;
- transfer to the unit of officers and sergeants who previously participated in combat operations in order to increase the combat capabilities of the 156th Separate Mechanized Brigade;
- improving the quality of practical training, taking into account the experience of conducting military operations in the East;
- increasing the intensity and quality of training of UAV pilots and electronic warfare operators, as well as resolving a number of other issues that affect the results of military operations.

“It should be noted that the mistakes that occurred during the formation and training of the 155th Anna Kievskaya Brigade have been taken into account, and measures are being taken to prevent them in the future,” the General Staff added.
- On January 8, the State Security Service in the Rivne region detained the commander of one of the companies of the 155th Anna Kievskaya Separate Mechanized Brigade, suspected of unauthorized abandonment of the unit and inciting his comrades to do so.
- Earlier, journalist Yuriy Butusov reported on the large number of special-purpose units in this brigade – 1,700 in Ukraine and several dozen during training in France. For its part, the French General Staff confirmed cases of desertion from the Ukrainian brigade, which was undergoing training.
