Ukrainians in general are not worthy of being compared to the Russian spivotians. Before the Russians, the ranking for nationality is much stronger, but it has become much brighter.
RBC-Ukraine informs about this based on data from the KIIS survey.
The ranking before the Russian citizens of Ukraine
The social distance index has become 3.73, which indicates the average, 49% are ready to allow them, another 34% expect that they may live in Ukraine. So 83% of the population is ready to allow Russian residents of Ukraine to leave their country. The negative rating for them is 17%.
The difference with the results of the 2023 year is insignificant, the situation among the Russian citizens of Ukraine has not changed since the end of the year.
The position of the citizens of Ukraine, as well as the Russians, for nationality
The position has been expanded to this group. The social distance index is 4.32, it is high, 39% are ready to allow them into their exile, and 29% are willing to live in Ukraine (68%). Negative attitudes towards them may be 32%.
By 10 hundredths of points there are more people who are ready to allow Ukrainian-ethnic Russians in their closest social circle, and by 7 hundredths of points there are fewer people. those who are xenophobic.
The study was conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology 20 June – 3rd June 2024 to the middle of 989 respondents.
Since 1994, KIIS conducted a survey of the population of Ukraine to various ethnic and social groups. This survey was carried out on the scale of the American sociologist Emory Bogardus. For the skin ethnic group from the crossroads, respondents can tell how much close stench they are ready to tolerate with representatives of the skin group. This is called social distance.
Minimum social distance is 1 (suitable for admission as a member of the homeland), maximum 7 (not allowed into Ukraine). Often the measure of social distance is interpreted as a measure of advance to the same group.
It seems likely that at the end of 2023, for Ukrainians there will still be a place Russians living in Russia had the greatest social distance (6.38). Most importantly (80%) would not allow them to be known as tourists.
