Dozens of pirated sites blocked in Ukraine: Baskino, Filmix and HD REZKA banned

The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting continues to intensify the fight against illegal distribution of content in Ukraine, writes IZ. Among the latest measures is the ban on the activities of 86 more pirate sites belonging to the media services Baskino, Filmix and HD REZKA. These resources will no longer be able to function in Ukraine.

This became known from an official statement published on the media regulator's website. The ban applies to the following services: • Baskino — 33 websites were blocked; • Filmix — access to 13 websites was restricted; • HD REZKA — 40 resources were added to the list. These measures were a response to the creation of new websites by pirate platforms, through which they continued to be available to Ukrainian users, despite previous restrictions. The National Council's decision is due to the fact that the mentioned services belong to resources associated with the aggressor country. They used a network of sites to circumvent the bans and continued to illegally broadcast pirated content. The National Council has already notified the relevant institutions to take the necessary measures to restrict access to these resources. Blocked sites will no longer be able to operate in Ukraine, and their users will have limited access to illegal content.

As of today, 27 media services are already on the list of services banned due to their connection with the aggressor country. The National Council continues to monitor and combat the spread of pirated content in Ukraine, as this is an important step in ensuring the information security of the state.
