The Russian Federation (RF) does not have the right to issue NATO ultimatums and vimagati skasuvati registration in Bucharest prior to Ukraine's accession.
RBC-Ukraine reports about this via a post on the Twitter account of the river officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MZS) of Ukraine, George the Pacific.
“Vymogi” of Russia
The intercessor of the head of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Oleksandr Grushko, as quoted by the Russian Interfax agency, stated that Ukraine’s potential membership in NATO “impedes the achievement of peace in Ukraine and, in the broadest sense, the creation of architecture of security”
Zokrem Vіn called “disastrous for European security” the decision of the Bucharest NATO summit, which enshrined plans for the Alliance to accept Georgia and Ukraine into its warehouse.
“This unspoken formula will create ambiguity, which is absolutely unpleasant for us…”, stated Grushko.
Reaction of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine
“Oh, no, the ally of Southern Korea is issuing ultimatums to NATO. Absolutely bullshit. Moscow’s words did not give this food,” Tikhy said.
Rechnik added that Russia itself is waging a rampant war on the territory of Europe and that terrorism itself is currently occurring in Ukraine and other European countries.
“The architecture of European security is inspired by the protection of Russia,” he said.
Ukraine's accession to NATO
At the end of 2024, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that most NATO countries will support the first point of the Victory Plan – Ukraine's request to the Alliance. Currently, there is growing skepticism on the side of Germany, which is guided by the position of the United States, and the Ugric and Slovak regions are also categorically against Ukraine’s membership.
Ukraine, on its own side, does not consider the possibility of joining NATO in exchange for vidmova from the territory occupied by Russia. As Polish President Andrzej Duda stated, Ukraine's request to the Alliance could be an important first step until real security guarantees are secured.
