The country's Defense Ministry has not made any decisions.
According to the diplomat, the “broken telephone” principle worked in this matter: the initiative, which was written about in the official resources of the Ukrainian embassy in Israel, did not belong to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but existed only in the form of a bill.
It was submitted by Sharren Haskel back when she was a member of the Knesset, and not a deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, the document was unable to advance in the Israeli parliament, and the Israeli Ministry of Defense did not make any decisions.
Since Haskel now belongs to the government, she has lost the right to legislative initiative, so, according to Brodsky, this issue has most likely been settled.
The ambassador notes that Israel does not take a neutral position in the Russian-Ukrainian war and unequivocally supports our state.
