JSC Ukrposhta will complete the transition to automated parcel processing on February 3, reducing delivery times across Ukraine to one day, the company's CEO Igor Smilyansky said in an exclusive interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
“Starting next Monday (February 3), the automation process will be finally completed and 100% of Ukrposhta parcels will be processed on robotic lines. Delivery, as we promised, will take place the next day,” Smilyansky said.
According to him, the processes Ukrposhta invested UAH 1 billion of its own funds in 2024 to automate sorting centers.
“We spent them on purchasing equipment from domestic manufacturers,” Smelyansky said.

He also noted that since Ukrposhta invested its own funds in the project, 60 million euros of the loan remained unused. The company will initiate their redirection to programs for Ukrposhta Bank and plans to hold talks on this matter with creditors – the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
