According to the General Staff, as of 22:00, work was continuing to clear the rubble and provide assistance to the affected civilians. Servicemen from the military commandant's office in the territory of the Russian Federation continue to work at the site.

During the work to clear the rubble, 84 civilians were rescued and provided medical assistance, their health condition was satisfactory, 4 were in serious condition, and 4 more people died.

In Pyriatyn, Poltava region, an unknown person shot a serviceman of the Poltava RTCS and SP with a hunting rifle.

“On February 1, 2025, at a gas station in Pyriatyn, while accompanying military personnel from the 199th training center, an outrageous incident occurred – an armed attack on a serviceman of the Poltava District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (RTCS and SP),” the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.

After the attack, the attacker took possession of the serviceman's machine gun and fled with one of the mobilized conscripts.

According to the Poltava police, law enforcement officers detained a resident of Poltava born in 1984 who shot at the serviceman. His accomplice is a resident of Poltava born in 1988. The issue of informing the suspects of the charges and choosing measures for them is being decided.
