The prosecutor's office has sent an indictment to the court regarding her actions, which are classified as collaborationism and justification of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, writes IZ.
As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, this concerns the singer's propaganda statements and her participation in events in support of the Russian leadership. It is known that Povaliy left for Russia in 2014, and after the start of the full-scale invasion, she received citizenship of the aggressor country.
The Ukrainian investigation established that the accused publicly expressed support for the Kremlin's policy, participated in propaganda events and gave interviews in which she humiliated Ukrainians, calling them “zombified Nazis”.
Her actions were qualified under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 6, Art. 111-1 (collaboration activities), Art. 436 (public calls for aggressive war) and Part 1, Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and glorification of its participants).
The court will consider the case in the near future.
