As dust from car brakes can be more dangerous than diesel exhaust

This indicates that dust from the brakes can increase the risk of developing serious lung diseases such as cancer, asthma or chronic obstructive diseases. At the same time, copper reduction in brake dust can reduce its harmfulness, which is an important step towards improving health ’ I.

Interestingly, we usually consider to be unusbeline organic brake pads that have replaced asbestos less harmful to health ’ I. However, the dust from such pads was the most toxic among all types of dust, including dust from diesel exhaust. This discovery emphasizes the importance of changing the materials from which the brake pads are made, as well as the need to develop new regulations to reduce the level of contamination resulting from the wear of these parts. A significant reduction in pollution because they do not eject harmful gases like diesel or gasoline machines. However, electrical cars can even create more dust from brake and tire wear because of their greater weight. Therefore, even with the new standards of the Euro 7, which come into force in 2026, the issue of contamination from inhibitory dust remains relevant. The solution can be not only dust emissions, but also new technologies and materials that allow to reduce the level of this pollution. >
