In Zaporizhzhia, the restoration of more than 1,600 apartment buildings and private houses that were damaged by shelling from the Russian Federation has been completed. As reported by IZ, citing the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA Ivan Fedorov, the work began in September 2024, and so far it has been possible to repair the roofs and install new windows in most houses. According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia OVA Ivan Fedorov, part of the repairs was financed from the local budget, for which ₴27.8 million was spent.
Residents of three apartment buildings that cannot be restored are promised compensation in the form of housing certificates. In total, more than 1,800 houses have been damaged since the beginning of September. Local authorities continue to work on restoring the city's infrastructure. In parallel, the process of issuing compensation to owners of housing that was completely destroyed as a result of shelling is ongoing, in order to provide people with new housing as soon as possible.
Restoration work in Zaporizhia continues, and local authorities are focusing on ensuring normal living conditions for the affected residents. Financing for the restoration of roofs and windows is being provided by the budget, as well as through state support. Despite the difficulties, the city's infrastructure is gradually being restored, and citizens are receiving the necessary assistance to return to normal life.
