Kremlin calls Minsk the best place for talks with the US and Ukraine

During the briefing, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said that for the Kremlin, Minsk is the best place for possible trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States. As IZ reports with reference to Channel 24, this issue has not yet been discussed, but Russia has already expressed its position. Peskov noted that Minsk is Russia's main ally, so this capital is the most convenient for holding negotiations.

For now, trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States remain only a proposal that has not yet been officially considered. However, the Kremlin has already decided on the place it considers the best for such meetings. Putin's press secretary called Minsk the best option, emphasizing the allied relations between Russia and Belarus. According to Peskov, Zelensky's position on the talks was received positively, but there are legal obstacles.

The Kremlin has not yet received official consent from Ukraine and the United States to hold talks in Minsk. Despite this, Russia emphasizes its readiness to discuss peace initiatives, provided that legal norms are observed. Peskov also recalled the ban on the Ukrainian president from holding talks with Russia, which remains in force. The situation surrounding possible talks continues to remain uncertain.

Recall, we previously wrote that the general told how long Ukraine would be able to survive without US help.
