Despite the harsh conditions of detention and attempts to force them to renounce Christianity, they remained faithful to their faith. Their feat became a symbol of indomitable spirit and courage in the face of mortal danger. This day is a reminder of the power of faith and devotion to one's convictions.
On this day, there are certain prohibitions that our ancestors followed. You should not gossip or interfere in other people's affairs, as this can cause trouble. Water is also advised to be used sparingly, as it has a special meaning on this day. In addition, it is not recommended to go to the forest on March 6 – this can lead to unpredictable consequences. The water in the wells was consecrated, believing that it could protect against evil and bring healing, and after that they visited the bathhouse to cleanse the body and spirit.
Folk signs also helped predict the future. If a woodpecker knocks on a tree on this day, it means that the cold weather will last longer. Frosty weather promised a quick onset of spring, and high-floating clouds foreshadowed clear and warm days. The first snowdrops appearing in the forest were a sign of the beginning of sowing work. Such signs added confidence in the future and helped to better navigate the changes in nature.
March 6 is also World Lymphedema Day. This disease of the lymphatic system requires special attention and support for patients. On this day, it is important not only to raise awareness of the problem, but also to support research aimed at improving the lives of patients. In addition, there is an unofficial holiday – No Homework Day. Some schools exempt students from academic duties so that they can rest and do their favorite things.
