Wladimir Klitschko is considering a return to the ring to try to become the oldest world heavyweight champion in history. As reported by IZ with reference to The Ring, promoter Tom Loeffler said that Klitschko is in excellent shape, but the final decision will be made by the boxer himself. Loeffler noted that there are many possible fights that could interest the Ukrainian athlete, but it all depends on his personal plans.
Recently, there have been more and more rumors about Klitschko's possible return to professional sports. The promoter does not rule out such a scenario, emphasizing that he sees the Ukrainian in excellent physical shape. At the same time, Loeffler refrained from making specific predictions about future fights, noting that the decision remains with Wladimir. According to him, potential rivals such as Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury could become part of this return.
Klitschko has repeatedly expressed his desire to become the oldest heavyweight champion, surpassing the achievements of George Foreman, who won the title at the age of 46. The Ukrainian last entered the ring in 2017, when he lost by technical knockout to Anthony Joshua. Since then, he has not given a clear answer about the possibility of a comeback, but his promoter considers this option quite realistic.
