Japan once again called on the United States to take the country away from Trump

Japanese Trade Minister Eji Muto, at the hour of the first special negotiations with his American colleagues, once again voiced the need to include the country from the tariff campaign of US President Donald Trump. However, behind his words, Tokyo did not reject the unfavorable confirmation of the line.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine via Bloomberg.

“We asked that Japan should not be subject to tariffs, as the United States voted to do. We explained Japan’s position in light of the influx of Japanese industry and the development of the business environment and expansion Investment and employment are both in Japan and in the United States,” Muto told reporters.

Continuing his tariff campaign, Trump urged other countries to invest in the United States rather than ship their goods there. Muto said that there was a hostility in him, that Washington is seriously concerned about contributing to Japan's own economy.

“They explained that the United States places great importance on reviving its manufacturing industry and employment security. We decided that further close consultations would be held to see how to achieve a win-win situation for the national interests of Japan and the United States,” he concluded.
