In Zaporizhzhia, 105 war veterans are registered with the employment service, but only ten of them have been able to find work. As IZ reports with reference to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Employment Service, three more have taken advantage of grant programs and started their own businesses. The combatants are also undergoing retraining to adapt to civilian life.
Former servicemen are learning new professions, and some are participating in educational programs. Since the beginning of the year, 38 veterans have applied for training in various fields. Employers and social initiatives are supporting their employment.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Employment Service provides veterans with professional support. This includes orientation, psychological adaptation, and advanced training programs. The city also plans to open the largest hub for war veterans in Ukraine.
