Company establishment and development

The company was founded in 1996 when Petro Poroshenko purchased the Vinnytsia Confectionery Factory, and later expanded the business by buying out several other factories. Over the following decades, ROSHEN actively invested in the development of production, modernization of equipment and expansion of the product range.

Ownership structure and management

Initially, ROSHEN was directly owned by Petro Poroshenko, who owned 85% of the shares, and another 13% belonged to Vyacheslav Moskalevsky, who managed the company for a long time. In 2014, during the presidential elections, Poroshenko announced his intention to sell the company in order to avoid a conflict of interest. However, it was not possible to find a buyer for such a large asset, so in January 2016 he transferred his share to the management of an independent trust fund, Rothschild Trust.

In 2019, part of ROSHEN’s assets were transferred to his son Oleksiy Poroshenko, who became the beneficial owner of Central European Confectionery Company LLC, which controls a stake in ROSHEN. Thus, today the company is de facto owned by the Poroshenko family, although it is managed through trust structures.

As of March 2025, the General Director of PJSC “Kyiv Confectionery Factory “ROSHEN” is Mykyta Yurievich Bogachov, and Valentyna Ivanivna Darmoros performs the duties of the signatory.
