Russians intensify offensive in Kursk region, ISW records advance

Russian troops, according to ISW, continue to advance in the Kursk region, capturing several settlements near Sudzha. Geolocation footage shows their movement in the direction of Bondarivka, Zamostya and Makhnivka, which may indicate further attempts to gain a foothold in the region. At the same time, the Ukrainian military is countering the attacks, having repelled 33 enemy strikes over the past 24 hours, writes IZ.

Analysts have noted that the Russians are actively using drones and artillery to strike Ukrainian positions along the border. The occupying forces' special forces have attempted to break through towards Tyotkino, but the exact situation in the region remains unclear. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states that there are no enemy units on the territory of Ukraine, although shelling of border settlements continues.

Experts note that the fighting near Suja may indicate an attempt by Russian troops to gain a foothold in this area. At the same time, Ukrainian forces are holding their positions, preventing further advance of the occupiers. The situation on the front is changing rapidly, and the combat map shows a difficult situation in this area.

Recall, we previously wrote that Ukrainian universities broke a record in the international SCImago IR 2025 ranking.
