Russian military personnel in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhia region are illegally selling weapons and ammunition. According to the partisan movement, the situation in Energodar is deteriorating, as servicemen of the 1196th Motorized Rifle Regiment openly trade in weapons. It is known that grenades and cartridges are exchanged for food and alcohol, and the command not only does not stop the trade, but also benefits from it, writes IZ.
The arms trade in the occupied territories is gaining momentum, and the situation is getting out of control even for Russian commanders. Militants sell ammunition to local residents and the military, which creates additional risks for security in the region. The lack of real control leads to the expansion of the black market, which complicates the situation both for the occupation authorities and for the local population, forced to live among the uncontrolled circulation of weapons.
The Russian military is turning a blind eye to the illegal arms trade, focusing only on forward positions closer to the front line. In occupied cities and villages, the sale of ammunition is becoming commonplace, and the military is increasingly using weapons as a means of exchange. Under such conditions, weapons can fall into the hands of criminal groups or individuals who can pose an additional threat to the local population.
Recall that we previously wrote that 33 illegal advertising signs were dismantled in Zaporizhia.
