US President Donald Trump may impose sanctions against Russia if negotiations with Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin do not go well.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt told a briefing about the price.
In her opinion, Ukraine and Russia are at once “on the 10-yard line” to peace, and the countries “have never been the closest to peace, never before.”
“The President (Trump – ed.) is determined to achieve this,” Leavitt added.
Recently, the journalists asked her that Trump would consider the possibility of introducing sanctions against Russia, as tomorrow’s call with Putin would not be successful.
“Having said this, the President is, of course, ready to do it as needed,” Livitt said.
Negotiations between Trump and Putin
Apparently, US President Donald Trump had previously announced that tomorrow, March 18, he would speak by phone with Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin.
Information about possible negotiations between Trump and Putin was confirmed by Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitro Peskov.
According to Peskov, the first priority will be to regulate Russia’s war against Ukraine.
