Warming will begin in Ukraine on March 20, the day of the vernal equinox. According to Ukrainian weather forecaster Natalka Didenko, after a cold Wednesday, when the temperature will still fluctuate from -5 to +8 degrees, starting Thursday, March 20, the air temperature will rise to +8…+14 degrees, writes IZ.
The weather forecaster noted that on Wednesday, March 19, frost is still expected at night to -5 degrees, and during the day the temperature will not exceed +8 degrees. At the same time, light precipitation is possible in some regions of Ukraine, in particular in the east, in some areas of Odessa, Cherkasy and Kropyvnytsky regions. The rest of the territory will be dry thanks to the anticyclone.
As Didenko noted, warming will begin on March 20, first in the west and north, and by the end of the week it will cover the entire territory of the country. The winds will begin to subside, but on March 19 there will be gusts in some regions.
In Kyiv, on the night of March 18-19 and in the morning, light precipitation in the form of wet snow is possible, but it will quickly disappear thanks to the warm weather. During the day in the capital, the temperature will be up to +5 degrees, and on March 20, the temperature will rise to +9 and above.
According to the forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, by the end of the week in Ukraine it will warm up to +12 degrees, and from Friday the temperature will rise to +14 degrees. On the weekend, March 22-23, rain is expected in the western regions, and the temperature there will drop to +9…+10 degrees.
