A conflict is brewing between Macron and Trump over Ukraine. Bloomberg found out the reason

The remaining moves in Ukraine could provoke a confrontation between French President Emmanuel Macron and American leader Donald Trump.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine via Bloomberg.

While Trump, with his geopolitical statements, is raising concerns among his allies, this situation has given Macron the opportunity to once again take the forefront of secular politics.

After losing parliamentary majority through pre-government elections last year, the French president focused on internal campaigns, and active international diplomacy allowed him to turn his back. In advance, Macron reports to the EU summit in Brussels that he is making efforts to unite European leaders to support Ukraine. But the standoff with Trump will aggravate this.

Bloomberg says that Trump sees military action as a way to improve economic and political flows from Russia. In the recent rise of Russia, the Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin wanted to help Ukraine, which would actually threaten Macron’s leadership.

One of the high-ranking EU members said that European countries are not ready to accept such opinions. The French government official Sophie Primas called this “unrealistic”, and Macron is actively negotiating with Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, searching for future actions.

The President of France, together with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Keir Starmer, has united over 30 powers and is coordinating work to ensure peace in Ukraine after a possible outbreak of fire.

It is clear that Macron values and that Trump values the particularities of the relationship, and if you know the right argument, you can be influenced by his decision.

Peaceful initiatives of Macron and Starmer

Apparently, at the Munich Security Conference, US Special Representative Keith Kellogg stated that Europe should not be brought to the negotiating table rather than Ukraine. The activities of the European countries were actively activated.

France and Britain took the initiative to develop a peaceful solution to ensure peace in Ukraine after the outbreak of hostilities. A “coalition of those willing” was also created to form a possible peacekeeping mission.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has already visited two European countries before Ukraine. Today, February 20, British officials are also being assembled in Britain to discuss the practical aspects of a possible peaceful settlement.
