273 more medical drugs will become cheaper in Ukraine: details

Since March 1, Ukraine has begun reducing prices for the 100 most popular medicines. All manufacturers that have declared a reduction have already fulfilled their obligations. As reported by IZ with reference to RBC-Ukraine, Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko announced that another 273 drugs will be added to this list. According to him, the cost of these medicines will decrease by an average of 16%, and some drugs will become cheaper by as much as 52%.

Among the drugs whose prices will be reduced are drugs included in the National List of Medicines. These are 97 drugs, including 90 prescription and 86 non-prescription. According to the minister, some of these drugs can already be found in pharmacies, and others will appear after the completion of purchases of new batches at reduced prices. Lyashko also noted that the reduction in the price of drugs will be noticeable for Ukrainians, since these are the drugs for which citizens paid the most money.

The Minister personally checked the prices of medicines in pharmacies in the Poltava region, visiting both chain and independent pharmacies. He emphasized that all pharmacies comply with the new prices, although the remains of some old drugs may be stored in small pharmacies.

A new expansion is planned within the framework of the “Affordable Medicines” program in Ukraine, which will take place within a month. Lyashko announced that oncological drugs for the treatment of breast cancer may be added to the list of medicines. The minister also reported that in the second half of the year, partial reimbursement of the cost of medicines in the program is planned, which will allow patients to save.

We remind you that we previously wrote that Ukraine is creating its own network of surveillance satellites as part of cooperation with the Czech Republic.
